MECHANICS 02: MK-02 GUNDAM MAGDIWANG

Background

The Magdiwang was supposed to fight alongside the Magdalo [link] in the MK's campaign against the extremely corrupt Philippine Government. In fact the pair was used effectively in eliminating the Neo Abu Sayyaf terrorist group. However, the Tango Club was able to get hold of the Magdiwang and utilize it as the spearheader of the government's army. The original pilot, Endymion Aguinaldo, was reported MIA after his unit fell into Tango Hands. Now a masked ace pilot known only as the "Sandugo" is in charge of the Magdiwang.

MECHANICS 01: MK-01 GUNDAM MAGDALO

Background

Neo Philippines is in a state of political unrest. The Government has been divided into two opposing sides, the Tango Club, loyalists to the Administration, and the Makabagong Katipunan (MK), a revival of a historical noble revolutionary group. The Tango Club, having the support of a corrupt government and the military is virtually unstoppable. To counter this, brilliant minds from the country gathered to establish the Steel Carillion, an advanced R & D laboratory underneath the University of the Philippines Sunken Garden. The Carillion developed and built two Gundams to lead the MK forces. These were the MK-01 Magdalo and MK-02 Magdiwang. Former ace pilots Antares Bonifacio and Endymion Aguinaldo were to pilot the mobile fighters. However, a freak accident caused the MK to lose both the Magdiwang and its pilot. Magdiwang fell into Tango hands while Aguinaldo remains MIA. Thus, Magdalo and Magdiwang face each other as enemies in the conflict, with MK-01 being pilotted by Antares Bonifacio, and MK-02 by a mysterious masked man known only as "sandugo".

The renders I've been doing were made using either light tracer, radiosity and mental ray... I've just acquired V-ray, and soon I'd be testing out renders using this tool. I hope it makes my renders better :D

Welcome to Project: Retribution. This site aims to introduce Filipino themed mechas (most of which would be gundams) designed by yours truly. These mechas come with a story, which would unfold slowly and surely over time. The plot of the said story is already in place.

Also it also showcases a 3d creation style used mostly by those in the architecture field. The mechas here were modelled (and would be modelled) using the AutoCAD program. Though highly unusual, I would stick to this method for the time being so as not to veer too far away from architecture 3d presentation techniques. The modelled are modified, texture mapped, (hopefully rigged) and finally rendered using 3d StudioMax.

"First Sighting" (above) is an example of such render.
